This is a hard exercise so maintain proper form! Here you go…
- Get underneath the bar.
- Make sure you line up your sternum, middle and below chest, with the bar.
- Make sure hip is not dipping. Belly button to spine will help you maintain proper position.
- Start the movement by breathing out, squeezing your shoulder blades and chest. Doing those steps helps bring your body up until your chest touches the bar.
- Slowly go back down to starting position.
Other than pull-ups, this is one of the great back exercises you can do to get really friggin strong. Keep practicing and you will see.
